I hate it when "best film" lists are populated by obscure, limited, never heard of before, films...

If I am not a hardcore film critic/viewer, then I have never heard of half of these titles.

Why so many documentaries?? Are they even movies, like, when was the last time any documentary was the #1 at the box office? Plus so many chick flicks, (barf). On that list, I've only seen The Town and Inception, but I got to see Lebanon and Four Lions, they look interesting.

Yeah must say that is a pretty super shit list. I LOVE documenatries but I never heard of any of those projects. Of all of them only Inception I found to be very decent and to live up to it's phenomenal hype.

Inception, The Town, A Prophet, Four Lions, Toy Story 3 and The Social Network are the only ones off that list that I'd put in my top 25...

I love documentaries, but I don't think they can be put on the same list as real cinema.

I love documentaries as well, but would also have to agree that in a sense they are uniquely biased and often times very interesting, but yeah would also venture to say that 35mm films are a different format in several sense of them. Would have LOVED to have seen the footage that Kevin Smith shot with Prince while making Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. The story he tells on his first Kevin Smith an evening with DVD (which is also on YouTube) leads me to believe that it would have been EPIC. *lmao*

strange list... my top 3 of 2010: 1. Inception, 2. Expendables, 3. Machete.. three entertaining movies that were really worth to watch..

Expendables was OK, but Machete was fucking awful.

PS - Inception was overrated.
