2018 Ford Mustang

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
Why don't you wait until 2019 and snag up one of those Bullet Mustangs they're coming out with. You can only get it in Highlander green, but it looks nice.

I knew you would be the one to post a link to the original, I just skimmed the link, but I read an article in a magazine about the discovery of the second one. It was the one used for the stunts, I think the first one was professionally restored, and remains in a private collection.

The 2019 isn't a bad looking ride, basically a GT with a few mods....not much more horse power, but it carries the legend on, and it is a hell of a movie.

This article explains it. Basically, the "jump/stunt car" was judged to be too badly damaged to put back on the road, and was presumed destroyed. It was recently found in Mexico, and restored. "Restored" is a key word here, because it was so far gone that it's now about 2% original.

“It is nice both survived,” notes Marti, who also authenticated the Mexican car. But he adds that life in Baja, straddled by saltwater, took its toll on nearly all the original sheet metal on that car. “Sean’s car is 98 percent complete. The other car is 98 percent missing.”

The "first" one is the one I linked in my first post. The one that Steve McQueen himself tried to buy back.

This is my favorite part about the whole story:

The third buyer, one Bob Kiernan, fell hard for his new car and never even considered McQueen’s 1977 request to get it back. When Bob got a company car, his wife drove the Mustang to her teaching job at a nearby school.

I read another article which said that, at the time, the car still had open headers and straight pipes. No mufflers - or possibly glasspacks, but still. The thought of a teacher driving that car to her job amuses me.

This car looks good! So I looked its specs up at the FORD webite

https://www.ford.com/cars/mustang/models/ecoboost-fastback/

I think that they managed to create a great-looking model, again, which couldn't be said for every past Mustang model.

And tne engine looks like it sums up logic (4-cylinder eco) with passion (the power output)

Enjoy that ride, man!

So after a few days, I have to say I love it. This is becoming more a sports car than a pony car. It's lower and more aerodynamic. It's got so much pop for lack of a better term.

More than any other car I've driven, this feels like an extension of myself rather than something i I'm driving.

To sum up : fuck yeah

I f'n love this car.

I drive around town and it's like a toyota prius.

get on the back roads or where cops aren't likely to be, I mash down on that accelerator and I literally get pushed back in the seat.

woosh. I have a hard on now.

I'm going to upgrade the fuck outta this turbo.
