 Murray just lose against Kohlscreiber in Monte-Carlo Masters 1000 2nd round

and it's not only the lose... it's that it was 6-2, 6-1!!!

he's really fucked up after his defeat against Federer in Oz Open:
- lost to tipsarevic (no. 39) in R16 in Dubai
- lost to soderling (no. 7) in QF in Indian Wells (well, this lose was decent)
- lost to Fish (no. 101) in R32 in Miami
- lost to Kohlschreiber (no. 33) in R32 in MonteCarlo

that doesn't look good, right ? i mean, the 39, 101, 33 fuck the no. 3/4 ??

he will fall to no. 5 next week against Del Potro.

man, he's really in trouble.

Die For Me
I wish these tournaments were on at a better time for me, I could watch Djokovics match though
Murray embarrassed himself. I heard that some people were even booing him he got beaten so badly :hammer:

Marin Cilic (no. 9) just lose against Albert Montañes (no. 32)

bad times for the croatian, who starts this year amazingly (14-1) and then got into a slump.

:(

Argentinean veteran Juan Ignacio Chela won the ATP 250 of Houston, USA.
It's the ((((fifth)))) title of his career, his first title in ((((3 years)))) and his first final since ((((1 year)))).
Let's remember that he was no. (((((14))))) in the world in ((((2006)))) and was one of the "Argeninean Legion" member.

Top seed Swiss No.2 (after you know who) Stan Wawrinka won the ATP 250 of Casablanca, Marroco.
It's the 2nd title of his career, his first title in ((((4 years)))) and his first final since ((((2 year)))).

ooops, sorry about those (((()))) thing. Let's see:

Chela:
It's the fifth title of his career, his first title in 3 years, 2 months and his first final since the same time.
Let's remember that he was no. 15 in the world in 2004 and was one of the "Argeninean Legion" member.

Wawrinka:
It's the 2nd title of his career, his first title in almost 4 years and his 2nd final of the year (Chennai). He stops a bad streak of 5 straight finals lose.

Verdasco just beat countryman Montañés, and now faces Djokovic in the SF.

http://www.tennisearth.com/news/ten...challenge-enters-Monte-Carlo-Semis-991836.htm

it's the first ever masters-1000 SF for Verdasco, after 9 QFs
along with his Oz Open 2009 SF, it's his most important result.

Nole is playing much better than his level in Indian Wells and Miami, but Fer is a clay-court especialist. Should be a great match but my pick is with Verdasco.

Rafa won the ATP Masters 1000 of Monte-Carlo (Monaco), defeating countryman Fernando Verdasco 6-0, 6-1
It's his first title in almost a year, that's why he shared some tears after winning the match.
He also break a bad streak of lose finals (3: Madrid, Shanghai, Doha) and a 12-streak of major tournaments (grand slams, masters 1000, masters cup) without a title (the longest in his career).
Good tournament for Verdasco as well. He made his first ever Masters 1000 Final and SF, and now looks good for the rest of the clay season.

And for those Rafa haters out there: He's baaaack! i mean, he played like a beast, droping only 14 games in his 5 games (that is: average he won 6-1, 6-2 all his matches!!) and showing an awesome warrior spirit and unbeatable form.
He showed us all that he still got the heart to fight for the no. 1 spot against Roger (nole and murray aren't contenders since months).
HOWEVER, he didn't face a top-10 player, only Verdasco (12), Ferrero (16) and Ferrer (17). That's his remaigning asignment: he's 0-11 against top-8 players, and this week in the ATP 500 of Barcelona he might have his chance against a posible final with Soderling (8)

So, the tennis world is happy with the Return of the Clay King reclaming his trone.
Rafa should win in Barcelona and maybe Rome, and then HE MUST/HAVE TO/GOTTA SKIP MADRID.
Please, oh please, stupid uncle Toni, don't make the same mistake two years in a row. Let him rest, let him breathe for two weeks before Roland Garros if you want to reclaim his title there.
It doesn't matter the 600 points that he would lose, it's more important to be fit for the grand slam.

top seeds in barcelona: Rafa, Soderling, Tsonga, Gonzalez, Verdasco
notorious withdraws: Del Potro (wrist), Davydenko (wrist)

No. 7 Andy Roddick withdraws from Rome Masters

personal reasons? i guess he's too busy banging his hot babe...

Blake won't bother with clay this season

http://www.tennistalk.com/en/news/20100423/Blake_won't_bother_with_clay_this_season

damn! he's no. 52!!! i remember when he was a solid top-10...

Federer on the cover of ESPN magazine

world's greatest athlete? DAMN RIGHT! (sorry raFANs/FANadals, but that's the way it is...)

In fairness, Murray is the best British player in a long time so I don't really understand why people get on his case so much.

Roddick has done pretty shit since winning the US Open years ago and thats because he is around in the same era as Federer and Nadal, two greats. So the challenges for Murray, Del Potro (Who I like), Novak and Roddick etc are all the same.

because he's THAT good. I mean, he already has won 4 masters 1000 and reached 2 grand slams finals. Damn, he won 6 titles last year! and 5 in 2008! that's QUITE SOMETHING, let me tell ya.
So, someone with those number is forced to do well in important tournaments. To conclude: the better you are, the higher the standards they judge you (take Roger for example, and his 2008 season).

Roddick has done pretty shit since winning the US Open years ago and thats because he is around in the same era as Federer and Nadal, two greats.

agree. but he's not as good as andy IMO. that's why he doesn't get that kind of pressure. he's a good guy with a good server and that's pretty much it. HOWEVER, since the hiring of Stefanki last year, he has improved A LOT. you gotta give him that.

So the challenges for Murray, Del Potro (Who I like), Novak and Roddick etc are all the same.

Delpo, Roddick and Nole already won Grand Slams titles, so... it's not the same.

Nadal is taking the smart approach. I think he will lay ~waste~ to everyone at Roland Garros this year :thefinger

Please, please, please let the tennis gods put him and Soderling in the same draw....that asshat needs to be thumped :thefinger

Blake is wise to skip the clay season. Roddick should do the same. They've tried for years to win on clay and neither player ever will. Americans can't do shit on clay anymore. It's a major flaw with US Tennis.

soderling is doing more than fine in clay this season... and with that kind of hate that he had to rafa... i wouldn't be so sure about a win by Nadal...

the rome masters 1000 draw has been released! projected QFs:

Federer-Cilic
Nadal-Soderling
----------------
Tsonga-Murray
Verdasco-Djokovic

WOW! maybe, after almost a year, we will see a Roger-Rafa again ???
or Nadal will fall against Robin again ? or Roger will fail against Baghdatis in 2nd round again ?

Spaniard No. 9 Fernando Verdasco won the ATP 500 or Barcelona (Spain), beating No. 8 Robin Soderling in three sets.
It's the 5th title of his career and his 2nd of the year (with 3 finals). For Soderling, was his 13th career final, and his 2nd of the year (Rotterdam title).
"Fer" played great, but Soderling made too many mistakes in the end of the 1st set and the most of the 3rd set.
Good for the spaniard, who now faces a third tournament in three weeks this week in Rome. He's in the quarter of Novak Djokovic.
If he remains healthy and try to rest as much as possible, he should defeat Nole in that QF and get into the SF, at least. Maybe the final, taking in account that the SF could be Tsonga or Murray, both not-that-good in clay.

Spain looks very, very strong with the comeback of Rafa, the rise of Verdasco and also the comeback of Ferrer and Ferrero to their best level.
They should win the Davis Cup, again. I really don't see any other country that powerful. Maybe a healthy DelPo and Nalbandian, but they're both dealing with injuries.
Maybe Davydenko and Youzhny, but Mikhail isn't that great yet. Maybe Tsonga, Monfils and Simon, but same thing: not that good.

This week in Rome, if it's not Rafa, it would be Verdasco, or Ferrer or Ferrero. Murray is strugling, same for Nole and Roger doesn't look that good for beat Rafa in the SFs.
I dare to say that i think it would be an all-spanish final between Nadal and Verdasco, just like in Monte-Carlo.
