1st person or 3rd person shooters

the debate goes one which is better the 3rd or 1st person veiw in shooter.
how about a shooting game where you choose if you want a 3rd or 1st person veiw

I would much rather play first person than 3rd person. First seems to give a better viewpoint of the landscape, better scenery - and seeing my own character kinda puts me off a little bit.

Doesn't really matter to me, I like RE5's 3rd person perspective, and COD's 1st person perspective. If all of the RE series was in 1st person then i don't think it would be half as popular as it has always been.

For some reason I prefer FPS on the PC but TPS on the console.

I'm trying to get better at FPS on the 360 since I have friends that play Xbox Live but it's tough to target accurately with those thumbsticks. I end up shooting into the ground a lot.

A shooter, such as CoD should be FPS, anything else(in my opinion) should be TPS, I think it adds to the atmosphere for such genre's as Adventure or Action/Adventure.

I perfer third person because I like to see the charater that I'm playing like Lara Croft.

First. Its the same way with racing games for me. And the bumper view. I feel as though I have more control with that view.

i must say i go for 1st person shooters, but there are some realy good 3rd persons out there to.
