Detaining that girl could have been accomplished without controlled force. No need to go ninja on her. However, it was his choice and his decision to draw his pistol on the antagonistic black males was appropriate given the unknown threat they posed. A little more common sense would have gone a long way on both sides. If a cop is being abrasive or verbally abusive it doesn't mean mutts are given free reign to react any way they want. I've called other cops assholes to their faces when I've dealt with them in not-so-similar circumstances. These were stupid teenage kids. There was no real need to escalate things that much. In the end there was no brutality and no one got capped, so job well done? I don't know. I just know I would have handled it a lot differently.
