Hey, sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if I could ask you a question? I cant seem to find any way to send you a message unless its here.

Well, I just find it an unattractive flag regardless.

I was just letting you know that I'm not one of those that says everybody that has is bad just because alot of other people say that. I understand those are the people that you were likely aiming at.

??? I never stated I thought that flag was all purity and light. No question that in some quarters it has been and is still used as a vehicle for hate. My issue is with those who automatically presume the worst whenever they see it, and there are a ton of people who do. Many of those are unfamiliar with it's actual history.

Dude, I've lived in the south my whole life. Alot of my family carry that flag. Alot of people deny that it's a flag of hate, but in my 27 years of experience most of the people I've met that carry it are racist. Sorry, but that's the way it is. I'm not just some guy that has jumped on the whole "Everybody has carried that flag is racist" bandwagon.

I've met and do know alot of people that do carry this flag. It's not some overblown "knee jerk reaction" like you claim. Alot of these people will tell you that it's not a symbol of hate, but as I said, alot of those people are likely racist.

Too many experiences for me to feel different. I'm not saying that everybody that carries that flag is racist, but I've had more than enough bad experiences with those flag carriers . Yes, my family that carries this flag have black friends that actually believe the same thing you believe.... But they don't know what is said about black people when their not around. People can be very gullible.

Maybe if you'd read a bit further you'd have noticed I decided to use the flag (which has been my avatar for all of five days) as a minor sociological experiment. Your reaction to it (on the chicks with dicks thread) was a predicted one (not for you personally since I don't know you, but as a general dynamic). Thanks for participating
