These debates can go around and around, so I won't argue with you. Well one thing I think that we can agree on is that the 8% you mention seems to install software with a malware payload successfully. I have seen/cleaned too many HijackThis logs to not see it.

The the avg user doesn't seem to have problems downloading/installing everything else under the sun. Honestly, I don't think downloading/installing an alternative browser would be much of an issue for them.

The same amount of people that currently use it I suppose. Having it pre-installed doesn't ***** anyone to keep it as a main browser. They can always download and install something else.
