Seriously, there needs to be a different strategy to protect the forums from spammers without ******* new users to write bullshit like this just to get their post count up. Still, that's number five for me so hopefully will be able to post some things of value from now on.

Looks like I've got the same issue. Might I suggest making it clearer that this is required when signing up? Its perfectly reasonable to have a post count to avoid spam, but it took a bit of digging to find this and making it clearer would avoid lots of duplicate posts. - - - Updated - - -...
