Detroit has to improve their defense. Last year, they were the second highest scoring team in the NHL, but gave up more goals than any other playoff team- the Wings at times in 2010-11 seemed to live and die with their scoring.

Coincidence or not, the two teams who would have someone run naked through their country's streets had they won it all lost in the quarterfinals. Maradona said he would have done it in Argentina- lose 4-0. Larissa Riquelme said she would have done it in Paraguay- lose 1-0. German fans better...

Oy. The two potentially most boring teams in the World Cup. If we get that, it could be 1994 all over again (0-0 tie, title decided on PK)

Am I the only one turned off by the lack of World Cup goals overall? Heading into today, there have been an average of 2.1 goals per game- the lowest is 2.3 for 1990.
