Any reasonable person who fancies himself to be some type of a modern day intellectualist would be agnostic, acknowledging what they do not know, or what the feel they cannot know. There are hope for these souls, but the atheist has taken the leap of faith to say for certain, that he knows for a fact that there is no God, and thus his soul is corrupt.
The position of the "common" atheist is an even more extreme position than the satanic atheists who claim they don't believe in God, but admit that the existence of God cannot be disproven. But yet these atheists spend their lives blaspheming against God, and doing the Devils works by trying to destroy the love of God in others, even when they themselves don't know wether he exists.
That is why according to the bible, these people are destined for hell. So if the common atheist spends his life defaming God just as the satanist atheist, and is destined for hell like the satanic atheist, then what is the difference between the two. There is none.
There are but two sides, the way of God, regardless of your particular faith or religion, or the way of the Devil. The atheist, in rebuking God, has chosen the way of Satan.
