Who is the funniest comedian currently working?

Who do you think is the funniest stand-up comic currently performing? I'll get the ball rolling with the obvious answer, Louis C.K.. It's tough to top his blunt honesty and wit. He's been doing it for over 20 years, and that kind of experience is really difficult to match. Who do you think is the best?

i agree louis c.k. is one of my favorite comedians working these days...most others i can think of right now seem to be hit or miss to me.

Louis CK is great. I'll ad Zach Galifianakis. I've been a fan of his standup since I saw him on "comedy central presents" 10 or so years ago, and it's good to see him get some mainstream recognition with the movies over the past couple years. Jim Gaffigan, Denis Leary, Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Lewis Black, Todd Glass, and Wyatt Cynac are also favorites of mine.

I really enjoy the stand-up of Kevin Hart.

He's offended me a few times, but that's often bound to happen with any comedian!

John Mulaney also cracks me up!
There have been comedians I've enjoyed before, that just didn't change their routines enough within the years to keep me laughing. (People like Lisa Lampanelli for example.)

****, that :goodpost: was meant to be for Death-Proof-69, but TheSpokenWheel and Ari Dee's posts were good too. I'm surprised, right off the bat, all of you named good comics. Not a hack among them. I like how Mulaney ends this bit:

I love all of the comedians you've mentioned but I'll name another.

I think Katt Williams is hysterical, he gets non stop laughs out of me. Before him Dave Chappelle was my fav.

What the hell happened to Katt Williams? It's like he lost his mind for a while there. Is he back? I found it hard to get past his voice enough to really like his material. Same with Wanda Sykes.

I never really found Katt Williams funny. Sounds a little racist, but I'm just too white. Dave Chappelle on the other hand is/was hilarious. Speaking of black comedians, anybody here watched "Key and Peele"? that show is fucking hilarious. I'd post clips, but they aren't on youtube yet :(

You're right... Katt Williams is funny. A couple more, who are kind of hit or miss, are George Lopez (seemed to lose something after he got his talk show though) and Mike Epps. And I enjoy Louis C.K. too.

I watched one episode, but I couldn't shake the fact that they did the same joke as a friend of mine. There's probably a 99% chance that it was purely coincidental, parallel thinking or whatever. But it put me off enough that I couldn't really get into it. I know one of the guys used to do stuff on Reno 911 and The Daily Show, and he was pretty funny there. Are those guys also stand-ups?

Which joke was it? IDK if they do standup. I know I've seen them on various sketch shows for several years though.

Bill Burr is one of the best also. The whole "men and women are different" hackneyed horseshit has been done to death, but he's masterful enough to pull it off.
