Open Question: For anyone who has been a member of this board for a relatively decent amount of time, say more than 3 months, I'm sure that you have no doubt noticed the large number of new board members who are posting messages and voting in the Miss FreeOnes contest. So far, this dramatic increase in membership and interest is looking like a marketing coup for FreeOnes, but is it sustainable? Do you think that many of these new members will stay on and become regulars after the contest ends?

Some will, some won't. I had been a member for nearly two years before the previous contest, and really only posted occasionally, but picked up a lot more during the contest, and have continued to be a regular contributor ever since. I think most will probably drop by the wayside as the majority of the OCMS's stop posting and go back to their regular habits. There are, to be sure, a number of OCSM's that do post regularly and the only difference while the competition is running is that their post count increases slightly, which is to be expected.

I seems to me that the average voter either votes in all the available categories for a Model, ... or doesn't!. Only a small percentage make a serious effort to Vote on a consideration of merit. A point that Premium Link Upgrade made elsewhere.

ANALYSIS

Overall, the contest is remaining pretty steady, with most contestants fluctuating 5 or so spots; however, there are a number of contestants who are breaking from the rest of the pack.

• Rebekah Dee looks to be making a strong push to qualify for Round 2 in Miss FreeOnes and Best OCSM.

• Jane Burgess, though she would already make the cut in Miss FreeOnes, seems to be putting some distance between her and the cutoff spot.

• Camerella Cams continues to impress. If she keeps moving upward at this rate, there's a very good chance that she could surprise many by making the cut for Round 2.

• Though their chances of making the Miss FreeOnes cut seem to be growing slim as the days pass, you really have to be impressed by the moves that Lilly Roma, Sexy Venera, and Terri Jane are making- 20+ spot moves in this field isn't exactly ordinary.

• With a week left in Round 1, top spot in the Newcomers section appears to have come down to Tegan Brady and Spexy Ashleigh, but further down in the contest is where it gets really interesting. Movements in this field can be somewhat unpredictable, but there is no arguing with the pushes that Sexy Venera and Bobbia CWH are making. For Terri Jane, all that separates her from Round 2 is one spot. Can she do it?

• For Chloe Conrad, any satisfaction at moving up 17 spots in Miss FreeOnes has to be tempered with disappointment at falling 21 spots in Best OCSM. With positive movement and a solid voting block supporting her, could she benefit from concentrating on Miss FreeOnes?

Open Question: Being an OCSM on the FreeOnes message board comes with a certain expectation of interaction. To date in this year's contest, there has been a fair amount of controversy in the Best OCSM category over what is an acceptable level of posting by an OCSM to merit a vote, with some members wondering if OCSMs like Sophie Dee (22 posts), Lupe Fuentes (5 posts), and Jessica Jaymes (21 posts) really deserve to be in the top 10. In order to really determine and reward the best OCSMs, should the contestants in this category be required to have a minimum number of posts, such as over 100+ overall or 50+ in the last 6 months?

Beyond just voting for favourites regardless of merit, do you think a part of it might have to do with the available number of daily votes or the length of this year's contest (i.e. constraints ***** voters into voting purely for favourites)?

I am pleased at my progress so far but also baffled about your question of how many categories we all decided to enter ourselves in. I was never asked and always found it a little bit bemusing that I wasnt recognised as a camgirl candidate :dunno:

As for the big debate about whether girls should be penalised for non partcipation.....it is slightly frustrating that Sophie Dee et al have no problems getting through to the next round but then I guess it just goes to show how massively popular they are and if they dont need to campaign for votes then all power to them. I am sure all the girls in the competition work hard to sustain their fan base whether that be through interaction on message forums or just promoting themselves through their work. I am a teeny bit jealous but then I dont do this for the fame or recognition and prefer to keep a low profile so I cant really complain. I do agree that non particpators of Freeones should be disallowed from certain categories to make it a fairer compettion for the lesser known models though (e.g. Best OCSM)

MAKING A MOVE

As anticipated, since many American members/voters were enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday and not on the board and voting, there haven't been many large movements as in the past few days. Though not necessarily large, there are some important movements occurring:

• Falling 12 spots to 320 in Miss FreeOnes, Bobbia CWH certainly seems to have missed her American fans today. Let's hope this means that her fans just over-indulged for the holiday, and her support isn't beginning to wane.

• Continuing their push deeper into the top 50 of Miss FreeOnes, Tegan Brady (up 2 spots to 26), Spexy Ashleigh (up 2 spots to 37), and Jane Burgess (up 4 spots to 41) are quickly assuring a place for themselves in Round 2,

• Dee Dee Deluxx has moved up 9 spots to 201 in a bid to make the top half of Miss FreeOnes, while at the bottom end of the table, Sophia Wetmore (up 4 spots to 404) is attempting to get above the 400s.

• There's no Thanksgiving holiday in Australia; however, with Chloe Conrad up 10 spots to 217 today, we may have a reason to reconsider.

• Vanilla DeVille and Sexy Venera are quietly moving towards a position in Round 2 for Miss FreeOnes and Best Newcomer, respectively. Ms. DeVille is up 4 spots today and now only finds herself 8 spots from the top 50 cut-off, and Sexy Venera, after being as high as the 50th spot, has improved 2 more spots- only 5 away from the top 30.

• Finally, Terri Jane, who was on the cusp of the top 30 for Best Newcomer seems to have taken a slight slip, dropping 2 spots to 33. Does she have the time and votes to climb into Round 2?

Open Question: I'm sure that many of us will agree that the idea of different categories is a good idea, especially with regard to the Best Euro Babe section. Springboarding from this and considering that it is the next logical step, would you like to see a Best Latin American Babe, Best North American, or perhaps Best Down Under Babe? Do you think this would invite more participation and regionalization?

For the purpose of boring everyone with numbers I just want to toss this out there. About 20% of all Miss FreeOnes contestants are euro. 4 of the top 25 are euro 16%. 11 of the top 25 are euro 22%. I'm not going to go on to split it even more. This is where the biggest chunk of the total vote population is. The standard deviation would have to include those contestants that entered one when they should have entered both. The spread should be pretty even with euros voting more euros and non euros not because they are not as familiar with them. The bias is built in.

When we get to positioning we don't know each contestants vote count. One thing is for certain, the farther we go down the list the closer the vote totals get. Easy to rise and fall sharply with just a few votes. The elimination process where all contestants going into the next round with a clean slate makes this a bubble contest. One of them told me she was riding out the first round to make her push in round 2.

Wait and see who comes out of the woodwork posting on boards in the next round. Also see what big names don't make the cut. See who was once strong start to struggle. Keep an eye on this Wallaby and thanks for this discussion.

I totally agree with you about the non-participation issue: no offense at all to Sophie Dee et al, but my opinion is that it is only logical that Best OCSM should, at its core, be about consistent actions and postings on and related to this board. Put simply, I think that people who are regulars here want OCSMs who are also regulars here, not just blips on the radar who are only here because of or for the duration of the contest. What are the odds that the 3 contestants whom I previously mentioned in the Best OCSM question would be in the top 10 is the voting was restricted to board members of record in early November (i.e. pre-contest)?

Tell me Rebekah, with Best OCSM in mind, do you think it would be better to restrict the contestants based on participation, or would it be better to restrict voting to board members only, since this is the only category that relates exclusively to the board and board activity?

Wallaby, I must tip my hat to you for all the time and effort you have put into this thread. And on the participation issue that has been discussed here and other threads I will say that last year I just voted for my favorites and never changed. But this year I pretty much started that way but have dropped some and added others based on seeing them here on the board. Plus seeing some here on the boards introduced me to them so that also helps alot.

Anyway keep up that good work, look forward to reading more from your thread as the contest goes forward

No worries! Thanks for the comments Bob, I always appreciate it. I definitely understand what you're saying about the Euro contestants, and it makes perfect sense; however, I'm just looking at sheer numbers and considering making it more regionally attractive. For example, a simple search of Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina (not even the rest of Latin America) for Adult Models, Centerfolds, and Porn Stars yields a combined 222 results. While this includes the retired and with consideration that not all girls would participate, I would expect that, in all of Latin America, there would still be an adequate number of participants to merit a specialized category.

Honestly mate, I would like to keep track of more contestants, but this year, with more than 3 times the candidates and 5 extra categories, it's really hard to follow everyone, so I mainly relegate myself to following (at least in this round) those whom I've voting for.

MAKING A MOVE

On the majority, as we quickly approach Round 2, some positions are getting safer while others grow more volatile. Here's who is making a move today:

• Given, they're not within cooee of the top 50 in Miss FreeOnes, but Samantha Wise (up 5 to 105 and poised to break 100), Lilly Roma (up 10 to 197), Totally Amanda (up 9 to 324), and Sophia Wetmore (up 3 to 401 and poised to break 400) have to be satisfied with their improvement and the level of support they are getting from their fans.

• Unfortunately (and I would LOVE to be proven wrong), falling 6 spots today (and 10 spots in 2 days) to 129, it is starting to appear that Camerella Cams has peaked early and doesn't have the momentum to make a serious run for the top 50 in Miss FreeOnes.

• Vanilla DeVille is up 2 spots to 22 in the Cam Girl category and looks to be on the verge of clinching a spot in Round 2.

• Call it the "post-Thanksgiving bounce." Bobbia CWH's American fans seem to have returned in *****. Even if there isn't enough time for her to move into serious contention for the next round, Bobbia CWH has to be impressed with how quickly she has caught on and is moving up the lists. Today, she is up 20 spots in Miss FreeOnes to 300, 8 spots in Adult Model to 63, and a spot each in Cam Girl and Newcomer.

• The competition in the Best OCSM category has been pretty steady as of late. Though Karen Kougar is on rise (up 4 spots to 83) and making a good show of it, Dors Feline has slipped 3 spots to 20 and could potentially be in danger if this continues.

• Unfortunately, the slip for Terri Jane in the Newcomers category continues, as she has fallen another 2 spots to 35. While there remains hope for being in the top 30, time is beginning to become a factor.

Open Question: For whatever reason each person/possible contestant may have for not being a part of the contest, there are some obvious vacancies. Of course, with 411 contestants out of 423 OCSMs out of over 15,000 women on FreeOnes, there are bound to be some favourites whom you can't vote for, meaning that you'll either have to vote for a secondary choice or simply not use that vote. Considering this, would it be a good idea for FreeOnes to allow a certain number of votes for a write-in contestant, at least in Round 1? For example, if you really wanted to vote for Amy Amy Amy, should you be ****** to vote for a secondary choice (or not vote at all) or should you be allowed to use one of your votes to give support to whom you want?

Write in is not a bad idea. Some models may not be aware of the FreeOnes contest and could take a run at it. In your example, if a few of the Amy Amy Amy fans and members alerted her to a write in support, she might want to show up on the boards and make a push. There are several in many of the categories that are on the top parts of the list that just don't play the game to win. I could name names but you all can come up with your own list just as well.

That's just the problem mate, nobody knows why she isn't here, but a lot of us think that she should be. Same goes for Rebecca Jessop.
