There have been several programs on various channels dealing with pornography lately. One was on CNBC and another on Current TV, I believe. I don't remember which one I heard this on, but it was rather telling, I thought. A former member of the Dept. of Justice was being interviewed. He said, in his opinion, ALL hardcore pornography was ******* and ALL of it could be prosecuted. It's just that certain acts will tend to get you in trouble faster than certain others. This, apart from obvious things, like kiddie and ****** related things. He was talking about consensual sex acts between adults.
The way he described it was like there's a posted speed limit of 65mph. Anyone going over 65 is (technically) breaking the law. But the people going 90 are probably going to get nabbed well before the people going 68. And the person going 66 may be left alone altogether. But all it takes is a sympathetic, moralistic judge & jury to convict any and all of them.
Anyway, it's always fascinated (and amused) me when I see someone involved in interstate pornography pointing a moral finger at someone else involved in interstate pornography... just because that person was doing 90 (Max), while they're going 75 themselves.
Mark my words, let an administration get into power in the U.S. that has close ties to the Evangelical, religious right movement, and see if there is not a massive crackdown on ALL pornography. No one here remembers or knows about the Meese Commission? Small potatos, compared to what a Palin/Robertson/Beck/Bauer influenced government would do. All they have to do is cherry pick something you're doing which enters into "friendly" territory... and you've ******** that community's standards. The same people who **** Max Hardcore, **** you too. They're just MORE disgusted by him than they are you. But they're disgusted by you too.
Chickens celebrating Colonel Sanders victory over a(nother) chicken? :dunno:
