Thank you Jacoby for ruining Garza's perfect game/no-no bid. I don't care if they tagged 13 runs on us, this one hit was essential. But now the real beating begins for three games. I hope the Tampa bandwagon will enjoy it.

Well I can say with the Rangers I hope it is safe to say that a lot of people were expecting the Dodgers to do well.
Yeah, I say that because Texas is last in the league in pitching, and only 4th in hitting in the AL, whereas the Dodgers are 2nd in the NL in both categories. I smell some falling off for Texas coming, there's bound to be a regression.

Yeah, well, they took 2 from us at Fenway and probably will win the West, but anyhow, they don't even look like the best in AL, that's all I'm saying.

Jays fans right here, friend. I pray that Halladay isn't seriously injured. He's been the best pitcher in the AL so far this season (including Greinke) and the Jays would be completely out of the running if he is seriously hurt, although they're pretty much out of it anyway. Go Jays!

Yeah, he only signed you to a 36 million dollar contract despite the fact your numbers were declining and gave you every conceivable opportunity to perform despite the fact you showed up for work looking like The Pillsbury Fucking Doughboy and exhibiting the energy of a slug. If you don't respect yourself don't expect anybody else to.
Maybe you're miffed because he didn't respect your production?
Well let's see: 75 games played, .153 batting average, 3 home runs, 14 runs batted in. That equates to 12 million per home run and 2.5 million per RBI :rofl2:
Would you respect that kind of return on investment if it was your money? Somehow I don't think so.

Yes BUT, if they hope to go all the way they had better get serious about picking up another starting pitcher. Thanks to Manny getting suspended they've got an $8 million rebate to work with.
The Angels aren't that good, right now they're playing at their collective ability levels. Last year was statistically one of the luckiest seasons for the Angels in the history of any team.
I don't think the Rangers are as good as they're playing right now. Young is OPSing almost 70 points higher than his career average, and his batting average on balls in play is an unsustainable .349. Nelson cruz is OPSing almost 200 points higher than his career average, and his ISO is nearly 100 points higher than his career average, both of which will undoubtedly regress. Ditto that for Blalock as well. The problem is that their pitching is performing above their career averages as well, and adding all of these factors together to me screams regression.
The Dodgers pitching staff is by in large under-performing right now. There is really no reason to believe they won't perform better. They would certainly benefit from an above league average starter, but there aren't really any out there or that can be had for a reasonable price.
You're right on that account, my friend. But personally, I'm hoping the regression does take place
As for trades, yeah there are guys out there, but the Dodgers don't really have anyone outside of Kemp that they can realistically trade, and their **** system is to be light, average at best. But who knows, desperation at the trade deadline could actually work in the Dodgers favor.
