OK, people do not have to reply to the polls or contribute. I do understand your point
And their are not TONNES of non-poll threads that are posted almost daily that are about 'nothing subjects'?
You seem to be typing that if someone does not put up the proper options then they basically should not post the poll in the first place.
When I post a poll, I just get the idea and spend a minute or so (or less) thinking of what options I want and post it.
If I miss a couple or screw up - who cares? Especially if it is on a light subject like this one is.
If you don't like the polls here - then I suggest you don't enter those threads. That is what I do when I see a poll about something I am not interested in.
Once again, I think this was a good idea for a poll. And being a former addict - I am not the slightest bit offended (or really care for that matter) that the word 'addict' was used.
I assume he typed the thread up and addict was the first word that he felt was the most appropriate that came to his mine - so he used it. Big deal. We all know what he means.
You are a very good poster poggy1 - IMO - but I think sometimes you get caught up in minutia too often. Just because you sweat the details, doesn't mean everyone else has to or even should.

But according to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, 'addict' means:
'1 : to devote or surrender (oneself) to something habitually or obsessively <addicted to ********>
2 : to cause addiction to a substance in (a person or ******)'

The first one sounds like a pretty accurate description of what I assume this thread's intend was/is. At least to me.
